Who is Linda Sbath? Like any person of greatness she has many seeable faults which in a way exemplifies the person she is. She is an image maker and a master technician. No faults in this department. This is where she excels. However the major concern for her as a person once her greatness becomes known will be if she will be able to ride the wave of success successfully. Within a short period of time she has been able to create a number of finished images. Not an easy task when it comes to the exactness which is required in her delicately hand colored prints. Thus far she has been unable to relate to the true potential of her greatness. After some eight years of working with many artists this has become a primary concern of the Fourth Street Photo Gallery, which is to say, those of greatness don't blow the loudest horn, and in many cases are unable to effectively to pace themselves. It's important to stand up and be counted. Linda has made the first necessary step in this direction. Her next step is therefore going to be a very critical one, which is to be around long enough and be consistent so as to receive the recognition she duly deserves.

LINDA SBATH is a different thinker. This alone puts her in a statistical minority, but
what makes her exceptional is even within this group is her visual acuity. Selfawareness is evident in her completed works. She shows the rest of us the
limitless potential of creative freedom. She plunges into her art not unlike a
skydiver in freefall. It takes courage to stand in a dark place and jump into the
void. And yet in falling- no, in flying - through that space she finds light.

It’s likely around the time we saw each other frequently, so that evokes a great feeling.

Sensitive, tender and yet strong. Wonderful with its shadows and contrasts. The portrait reflects deep thought, resilience gained through the experience of pain and self-confidence. An extraordinary personality. What a journey of life this must have been. You definitely want to know it by reading the book. I am looking forward!

This is a lovely photograph, both because of its subject and because of the subject’s rendering. It is alluring, romantic. Given the title of your book, I wonder if it is the most appropriate one. Compared to the cover in your previous post, the one with text superimposed upon the image, this choice strikes me as a bit too comfortable. Too resolved. I imagine you will address struggles, contradictions, and ambiguity in your book. For me, the previous cover more strongly led me in that direction. But I know virtually nothing about bipolar disorder … hopefully you will inform me about that, too.
